MLB DFS Strategy Guide – Daily Fantasy Baseball Tips | BookieBrawler
MLB DFS strategy covering pitcher selection, offensive stacking, ballpark factors, weather, and late swap tactics.
Pitcher Is King
In MLB DFS, your starting pitcher selection is the most important decision. An ace facing a weak lineup can dominate the slate. Look for pitchers with high strikeout rates (K/9) facing lineups with high strikeout percentages.
Key MLB DFS Factors
- Handedness splits: Hitters perform very differently vs. LHP and RHP. Always check the matchup.
- Ballpark factors: Coors Field (Colorado) inflates offense. Oracle Park (SF) suppresses it. Park factors matter enormously.
- Lineup order: Wait for confirmed lineups before locking. Batting order determines at-bats and RBI opportunities.
- Weather: Wind blowing out = more home runs. Hot, humid conditions boost offense.
- Vegas totals: Games with high totals (9+) project more runs and more DFS points for hitters.
Stacking Offenses
In GPP tournaments, stack 4-5 hitters from the same team's lineup. When a team has a big inning, all those hitters benefit. Target offenses facing weak starters with high ERAs and low strikeout rates.
Late Swap Is Your Friend
MLB games start at different times. Use late swap to monitor confirmed lineups and weather for later games, adjusting your roster as information becomes available.
